Magallanes

This work commemorates the largest bond offering of 2022 and the formation of Magallanes Inc, a spin-co entity set up to finance Discovery's purchase of WarnerMedia assets from telecom operator AT&T and create the world's second-largest media conglomerate. This work was inspired by Victoria, a vessel commandeered by Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan. Here we see it embarking on a magnificent voyage into the unknown, and one with tremendous opportunity. The $30 billion, 11-tranche deal on March 9th, 2022 was led by Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan.
